Unable to create a new Costing Version

when I open Costing Version Maintenance form, the [New] button is greyed out

How/where I create a new costing version?

    Hi,

    Go to Released Products -> Manage costs tab-> Item Price

    click on Pending Prices

    When you enter a new price, you can click on 'View details' from Version field . It would now allow to create a new costing version.

    Hi Zvika! You should be able to access the new button if you access through:

    Cost Managment > Predetermined cost policies setup > Costing versions

    This will bring you to the Costing version setup, where you can create a new costing version.

    I found the comprehensive answer:
    maintaining Costing Versions (creation, deletion, activation) is done from a different menu path
     
    Cost Management > Predetermined Cost Policies Setup > Costing Versions

    It is possible to reach that form through "drill-down" as the other answers on this thread suggested.
