I am having this error when I try to delete a product.

The product has been released to a company and cannot be deleted.

I checked in the other company and I did not find any product there why it is giving me this error

I have the same question (1)

HI ,

can you click on product number, which will open the Product details. and check the factbox on right side to see which all legal entities that product has been released.

Hi Abdulaziz,

The Products is a global table. The released products is data per company. As this product is released to "MM", you can't delete it.

Hi Abdul,

If there are no transactions, you first have to delete the released product in the 'MM' company. Once that is done, you can delete the (global) product.

Yes, know that I have to delete the released product first.

The error message appears when I delete from the release product

Hi Abdulaziz,

check is the product is linked to any category/assortment which used in retail company. if yes, then delete the relationship, you should be able to delete the items.

Hi Abdulaziz,

When deleting the product from the released products, you shouldn't get this error. Can you check if this is caused by a customization or partner add-on? In my demo environment it is working without this validation.

I am getting this same error as described in this post from August 2021 when trying to delete a released product that has no transactions against it and only released to the one company. I've tried removing the Product Category Assignment for the Commerce hierarchy (as well as Sales category and Procurement category assignments) but still I am getting the same error. I am running F&O 10.0.28. Was this the solution that worked for you, @abjulaziz.alesaei?

UPDATE: I waited about an hour after removing the Product Category Assignments, and then I was able to delete the Released Product. I suspect that the change in retail/commerce assignment had to be replicated to the online store via a commerce batch job, but that is just a theory.
