Posting Reports Path - GP 2010

This may be an easy question, but we are talking about GP here.  I was doing some beginning of the month maintenance this morning and found something interesting.  Prior to upgrading to 2010, all of our reports were set to go to a mapped drive and append to an html file.  When I looked at October's file, it only had the transactions from 10/31.  I'm looking at the Posting Setup and it shows that they are set to go to the share and append, but the actual file looks like it was set to override.  I would like to now set it up as it should be and bypass the option to ask at posting.  It looks like I need to deselect the "?" and put in the path where it needs to go to.  I would like to use a UNC path instead of a static drive letter.  My question is...what format does the UNC need to be in?  Right now the static mapping is O:\Shared\....  Would I use \\server\shared UNC format?

Yes, use the UNC path, which is \\server\shared.

If you use a mapped drive and a particular user doesn't have that letter drive mapped, or even if they have it mapped but it is mapped to a different location, then you run the risk of not getting your reports the way you wanted.

Thanks for the reply.  I figured as much and yesterday, I used the folder option to navigate to the network share and it came back with the same info, so I ran with it.  The only reason I asked is because of the format of the Dynamics.set file.

    Thank you.
