Hello Experts,
I am currently facing the problem of portal caching. We are assigning web roles based on selection so it takes long time to apply its effect until we clear cache from */_services/about. This is not possible client side. Is there any way for this problem?
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Drashti,
For more details, you can also check Microsoft Idea Portal, where a lot of CRM folks has already submitted their Ideas to improve this.

Hope it helps.

Hi Goutam, this was the way we were using till now. But since client wont do this everytime, so it is not useful to suggest this to them.

Hi Drashti,
Updates from Dynamics 365 are communicated to the portal in asynchronous mode, so there might be a lag between the time data is updated in Dynamics 365 and the time that updated data appears on the portal.
For few CRM instances, the data is updated in CRM get reflected on the portal immediately but for few, it doesn't.
So this issue might be related to Microsoft Server where the Asynchronous Services is being processed.
The asynchronous service features a managed queue for the execution of asynchronous plug-ins, workflows, and long-running operations such as bulk mail, bulk import, and campaign activity propagation. These operations are registered with the asynchronous service and are executed periodically when the service processes its queue. Since these operations are queued up and must be executed in time globally, so sometimes few asynchronous processes take time to execute.
I have seen this issue mostly for the trial CRM instances. So. If you are facing this issue for your licensed CRM/Portal, Raise a support ticket with Microsoft without wasting the time. Because there is nothing in your control in order to clear the cache except doing the required configuration like Enable Tracking and Publish All Customization at CRM end.
In Adxstudio, we had the provision to clear the cache using JS and also had the control over Web Notification plugins, but in CRM Portal this whole process has been changed and now this is being controlled by Microsoft internal plugins/logic only, so you can't do anything with that.
I have seen thousands of tickets are being raised related to portal cache issues, but unfortunately, there is no permanent solution to get rid of this issue.

Hope it helps.
