Issue with DM API – GetExecutionSummaryStatus return error "Execution details Not Found in Test FO"

Hi all,

When an import job is triggered via the API, it returns an execution ID.

  • However, when checking the job status using this execution ID, the response is "Execution details were not found", and the process eventually times out.
  • This issue happens about 70% of the time.
  • The remaining 30% of cases work fine, where Data Management successfully creates and processes the job.

Additional Findings:

  • The same data file imports successfully in our UAT and Production environments without issues.
  • No relevant errors found in Event Viewer logs.
Error message:

Does anyone have any information regarding the issue?
If yes, then please share/suggest the solution.

Thanks & Regards,
Raj D Borad

    Hello,

I encountered the same issue. I am using a template within an Azure Function to insert the XML payload in order to generate the zipped data package. The Manifest.xml file had a different filename than the one I was adding to the ZIP. After updating the Manifest.xml, everything suddenly started working correctly.

    Best regards,

I am also having same issue.

The importFromPackage API call returned a success response with an executionId.

However, the corresponding import job is not created in D365FO (not visible in Execution History).

GetExecutionSummaryStatus API returns with the error:

"message": "Exception occurred while executing action GetExecutionSummaryStatus on Entity DataManagementDefinitionGroup: Execution details were not found for execution id: RTEST",
    "type": "System.InvalidOperationException".

    Manifest file has same filename.

    Appreciate any insights.
    Thanks.

Can you try taking a look at the Manifest and Package definition files? If required, can you update them and retry?

It seems that the issue was the filename in the zip package.
It should be the exact same as entity. I corrected it and was able to import.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
