This works for me.
However, I have a user that receives a boiler p;late error message when they open an email in the CRM interface and click on the Convert to Lead ribbon button.
They have the ability to create Contacts and Leads.
Does anyone know what other permissions might be needed here?
I am an admin and can do it just fine. The user has no Delete access but has everything else for both Lead and contact.
What I can see is that Account has NO Create, Delete or Share. Don't know if that is significant.

If the service account is member of the base Business Unit, the "normal" users might not have the permission to modify those records
A service account. The email has come in from a web site.
