Disabling adding Attachment in Notes in TimeLine Control

Hi,

Is there any simple way  to hide/disable attachment icon apart from security role revoke of create from Notes entity?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

    There is no simple or supported way to hide attachment button.

    I have covered possible options along with drawback in this post:

    If your purpose is block attachments in notes, the best approach is to create a run time workflow based on the File Size field and throw an error.

    Here are steps to follow:

    • Go to Advanced Settings -> Processes.
    • Create a new Workflow (Realtime) for Note entity.

    • Trigger the workflow on:
      • Create
      • Update: select File Size field.

    • Run the workflow in Organization scope (depends on your requirement and security configuration).
    • Add a condition if Note Size is greater than 0
      • Stop Workflow as Cancelled (set error message in properties)

    • Activate the workflow

    Now users can create notes with text but cannot attach any file.

    Hi Wahaj,

    Thanks for the solution,we have yet not decided to on it and also looking for options like the below settings.When we set to 0 as attachment size,error alert happens.
