How to add instructions & increase field width for a step name in Business Process flow

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi There,

I am wondering how could we add instructions for each step name in a business process flow.

Currently we have 4 stages with 10 step names. I would like to add brief instruction beside each step name to instruct the user on what to fill in?  Could this be done?

Secondly, is it possible to increase the field width for a step name within a BPF stage?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Not exactly the way you'd probably want to do it, but you might display those "hints" in an iframe/web resource.. For example, add an event handler for OnStageSelected:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg334481.aspx

And, then, display those instructions in an iframe which you can add to the form right under the business process..

    Hi,

Based on your tags, you are using CRM 2016 or 365. As far as I know, this is something that cannot be done.

    Maybe future release.
