LCS Move Database Between DevTest Environments

Hello,

I have 2 F&O DevTest configured environments on LCS, one is primarily for developers, and the other is for UAT and demo purposes on custom extensions. I am looking for any process to copy databases between these 2 environments or some database import/export.

I'm finding documentation for non DevTest environments where there is a Move Database option under the "Maintain" dropdown on LCS, but this doesn't seem to be available on my environments, perhaps because they were initialized as type DevTest? Are any type environments database movable from a DevTest source?

    Hi,

    Move database won't be available for Tier-1 Dev environments. It's only available on Tier-2 sandbox  environments.

    Since you have access to SQL on the DevTest environments, you can take a backup of the DB. You can then upload this backup to "Database backup" under Asset librabry in LCS (if the size of the file is less than 14 GB), or you can upload it to One drive or Azure storage account. You can then download it on the other environment and restore it there.

    That explains a lot, I will look into moving DBs via the Asset Library

    Sure. Please make sure you look into the server configuration and delete the server name (of the server you took the initial backup from). Next you will need to select the batch job server for the batch groups as well so that your batch jobs don;t start failing.
