How much capacity do you have and why do I never have enough?

We've got less than 200 users with focus on daily time entries and expense entries. We are not using Resource Management. We have Sales attach but no F&O, HR, etc. I seem to be running out of capacity faster and faster month over month. We've shut off logs and indexes and we're still at or over capacity. I'll buy a Gb and *poof* it's gone. Couple of questions:
  • How can I identify number of transactions or other capacity detail metrics?
  • How much capacity is right for our usage? How much growth is to be expected month over month?
  • Besides redirecting Files attachments to Sharepoint, are there ways to also reduce Database entries? I'd be fine with purging some data.
  • Will more licenses buy me more capacity? Looks like that only works for F&O.
Anyone else in my situation?

Thanks!
