RE: User ID tracing for transaction in BC
hi
If the Purchase Header and Purchase Header Archive tables were not set up to be logged, then it may not be possible to determine who released the purchase order using the change log. However, there are a few other options you can try:
Check the workflow history: If the purchase order was released using a workflow, you may be able to find the user who released it by checking the workflow history.
Check the approvals: If the purchase order required approval before being released, you may be able to see who approved it by checking the approvals.
Check the audit trail: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has an audit trail feature that tracks changes made to data in the system, including purchase orders. If the audit trail was enabled when the purchase order was released, you may be able to see who modified it.
Check with users: If all else fails, you may want to ask around to see if anyone remembers who released the purchase order.
It's worth noting that even if you can't determine who released the purchase order, you can still take steps to prevent similar situations from happening in the future. You may want to consider enabling the change log for the Purchase Header and Purchase Header Archive tables, or implementing tighter controls around who has the ability to release purchase orders.
