Open page in create mode and pass data to it.

I have added an action button on edit Service Order card through code. The button must open a Service Invoice card page in create mode. I also want to send Service Order no. to the page so that I can fill the fields and line items from service order on service invoice page.

Is there a way to do that?

    Hi kunalpanchal22,

    I know that it's been a long time since your question but yesterday we were trying to do something similar with the Shipping Agents page and finally we have found the way to do it.

    In the action properties we use RunObject with our own card page and RunPageMode with Create.

    Thanks for the response. I was trying if that can be achieved without creating a new record from code.

    Instead it would be great If it can be achieved by filling out the service order data and line items to the new service invoice at OnNewRecord trigger.

    I know this doesn't make much sense as the data will be auto saved at some point but I was just trying if the record will be created only from the screen and not from the code.

    Yes it’s possible. Just create a new Service Invoice record (with No. = blank) and launch the Service Invoice Card Page passing this record.
