gp server crash

I have a customer that had their GP server crash. They have restored their GP databases to a new server. I added the DYNSA SQL login and then setup the permissions for DYNSA. I then made DYNSA the owner of all of the GP databases. I am able to log into GP as the sa user. Since all of the GP userids are still in the DYNAMICS db, I deleted one user's userid from all of the GP databases and DYNAMICS. I then gave the user a new password so that GP would create the SQL login for the user.

My question is this. Is there an easy way to remove the GP userid from each of the company databases and DYNAMICS db? They have about 25 users and 11 company databases so remove the userids manually is quite tedious. Unfortunately there is no way to run the capture_sql_logins script to recreate the logins.

Also is there anything I am missing in respect to getting them back up and running? I am running the grant.sql script against the GP databases. I trying to cover everything that I would normally do when moving GP to a new server.

Thanks,

Bill

Just as a comment, I do not think the Macro approach will work. Since you restored to a new server, the User Ids exist in the Great Plains Databases but they do not exist in the master database...believe will error out. What you can do is open SSMS...open each Great Plains database, click security...then Go to the SSMS toolbar select View>Object Explorer Details...all your users will appear in the window where you can select multiple accounts at a time using excel select options. After selecting..right click and delete.

    Hi William,

If you want to delete the users from GP, go to  Tools-->Setup-->System-->User to open User setup screen.

    1) record a Macro to delete a dummy user.

    2) collect total number of user list for each company in GP.

    3) use Mail merge technique, you can generate macro\macro's from the user list sheet.

    4) run the respective macro to delete overall user's in GP.

same way you can create users also.
