Entity Form Metadata - no error - fail

Hi, I'm unable to make Web Form Metadata work in a 7.0.0.23 portal on a crm 2016.

The set up is very straightforward and the web form creates the underlying entity no problem, but both the update on save and prepopulate fail to work. New sessions are being created too. I've tried with and without authentication....

Config is to pick up the contact / portal users account and set it on a custom entity.

Any gotchas that i might have missed?

Phil

    Hi Phil

You might have seen this,  there is a bug for entity forms but it might affect webform steps as well.  Short version is that your approach using a workflow is valid.

You might also be able to cook something up with Liquid/Javascript.

Portal config is fun when it works. :)

    Cheers

So my current fudge is to use the 'Associate current portal user' from the web form step to a new contact lookup field on the entity. I then run a workflow to get the account off the contact record that is populated

Thanks Nick, that was my first port of call. I've not got Entity Form metadata to work either, doing as much back to basics as possible. I can't believe something like this doesn't work but will keep plugging away at it!

Is the field you are trying to populate on the form that you used as a basis for your webform step?  I recall (from memory, haven't tested it) that the field needs to be on the form, it can be hidden, but needs to be there.

    Cheers
