We previously had the ability to create new forms on the Appointment entity inside Dynamics 365 Online v8.2. However , we now see post upgrade to 9.0 that we are not able to create new forms for the Appointment inside the PowerApps section.
Has anyone experienced the same ? or is this a standard behavior.

This is standard behaviour.
Just verified in my CRM 2015 instance.
There is no provision to add a new form for Appointment, but you can add new forms for Phone Calls.
So, its just the standard way of how the Appointment entity works.
