Modifying 3rd Party Inquiry Window - Microsoft Dynamics GP

Posted on by 115

I attempting to determine what is the best tool(s) for this request.  The client has asked for the following modifications to an existing 3rd Party product, Inquiry window in Microsoft Dynamics GP:

1)  Change one of the column to be the original order amount instead of the amount remaining.  Both of these fields are in the temp table for this inquiry.

2)  Add the Order Date, this field is not currently in the temp table for this Inquiry.

3)  Add a filter for Order Date range.

4)  Add Customer Notes button per each order, these would be the Customer Maintenance Notes from "core" GP.

I'm hoping to be able to get this done best with Dexterity and/or Visual Studio Tools For GP, but more importantly want to do this the most efficient way.

Thanks

Extender helps you to achieve these on closely to the requirements. But some of the functionality may not completely meet your requirement. First try to achieve this on extender in test environment and do the same in live if it is satisfied.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Thanks Soma,

I was reading up on Extender and Smartlist, could either one of those come close to satisfying these requirements?

In my suggestion Dexterity is the better tool to achieve above the requirements. Modify the window in dexterity and write cross dictionary trigger to achieve this.

    Hope this helps!!!
