Hi,

I have a client that would like to invoice between departments and for exmaple warehouses. Is there any third-party solution avaliable for this for AX 2012/AX7? In other words, is there any financial intracompany third-party solution avaliable?

Many thanks!

Regards,

Helena Bring

    Hi Helena Bring,

Have you tried making use of the IC functionalities by specifiying 'IC relationships' between customers and vendors within a single company for that purpose. Please note that this is not the intended use of this functionality and there have been some previous Posts of the community members about the pro's and con's of using this 'workaround'. Yet, before you are looking into a costly third party solution I would at least give the Standard functionality a try and test it in a demo System if that works for you.

    Hope this helps,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. We are looking for an Intra company solution and not an Inter company solution. This means that our client would like to process transactions between units that are not legal entities in AX. This is a company with 3 business units consisting of several production units where every production unit is a profit center. The main stream flow is invoicing value chain in production between production units and profit centers. The way we would like it to work is by warehouse movements between selling and buying units. Revenue and COGS will apear in selling unit for the transaction. The buying unit would like to have internal cost for profit/Income statement. Warehouse moves would be performed in the balance sheet and revenue and COGS in Income statement.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Regards,

    Helena Bring

    Hello Helena Bring,

What I mentioned above is using the IC setup for an intra company setup by specifying the same company in the IC trading relationship.

    Example:

Yet, as mentioned before test it carefully and have a look at some prior post on this forum.

I believe it is worth giving this setup a try, as it can save you a couple of thousands if you don't need to buy a specialized solution and/or can avoid an adjustment.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
