What security task allows the transferring of Sale Quotes to Orders/Invoices?

In GP 10, I'm trying to establish security roles for the sales team. We would like them to be able to create a Sales Quote, but do not want them to have the ability to transfer that quote to an Order/Invoice.  Thanks

    Hi Tim,

Depending on your specific requirements, I have some possible solutions.

    1.  If you do not want them to transfer any document to some other type of document, be sure they do not have access to the Sales Transfer Documents window.

    2. If you only want to restrict the transfer of Quotes, but want to allow the transfer of other document types (like Orders to Invoices), consider a VBA solution that can check the document type and user ID and then allow/disallow the transfer.

    3. If you only want to restrict the transfer of Quotes, use Field -Level security on the Sales Transfer Documents window to assign security to the checkboxes in the upper left-hand quadrant of that window.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
