Best Item Sales Reports in Business Central

Hello All!

I have found a lot of item reports in Business Central. A lot of them are great, but I can't seem to find a good report that shows our top items sold over a specified date range.

I am looking for a report that is almost identical to "Inventory - Top 10 List" but will show more than the top 10. We sell over 700 products and would like to see: item description, quantity sold, and sales over a date range.

The "Sales History" report is close but it forces you to pick 1M, 1D, 1Y etc.. and is not easy to work with in excel.

Has anyone found a report like this?

Hello, Zach. The application Popdock can pull in data from any web service and with the features available you can manipulate the data to get what you need or join web services together to get the data you need. They have some Items lists by default, but check it out if you want to see if they have what you need. It's free to try for 7 days.

Thank you for your help! It looks like I will be attempting to create a Power BI report to get what I need. Very disappointed with Business Central so far and the lack of features on the cloud based version.

Hm, I simulated your case on my BC SaaS with April release on US version and I see that you and I have both Top __ Inventory Items, what is report ID 10162, and version which works (from my first post) was report ID 711 on Business Central OnPrem. It seems that is 2 different reports.

I'm wondering if I have a different version of Business Central.. Here are the options when I select "Inventory - Top 10 List"

Any ideas as to what may be causing this? That is exactly what I am looking for as I use the "Customer Top 10 List" which also gives me the opportunity to select how many customers I want to see.

Hi,

you can do setup of report "Inventory - Top 10 List" report to show you more than just top 10 items. Also you can play with filters and filter report based on own preferences.

or try with Inventory Sales Statistics.
