Activity view and adding new fields

Hello,

I need some advice, I want to add a new field to all activities, the field will be exactly the same and contain the same option set across all activities e.g. appointments, phone calls and so on. I then need to create an activity view, that is a view within the ALL ACTIVITIES screen (not from the individual activity type screens) and what I’d ideally like is for the new field to show all entries in a single  column regardless as to the activity type. An example of a field which currently works like this is the “Subject” field. It shows all the entries in a single column regardless of the activity type when looking at a list view from the All Activities screen.

Is what I request possible?

Thank you

Spaz

    Hello Spaz,

It is the CRM limitation because we can not add any field on the Activity entity.

All the entities like Email, Task, Phone call are derived from the Activity entity, That means it will have common fields from the activity entity like subject, start date, end date, etc. and it will also have their own entity specific fields.

You can refer below articles for the reference which will help you to get more information related with your requirement.
