Rout Plan - Transportation Management

Posted on by 756

Dear All,

I have a five destinations in route plan like

warehouse > dest 1

dest 1 > dest 2

dest 2 > dest 3

dest 3 > dest 4

dest 4 > dest 5

I also configured route schedules against the route plan.

My sales order destinations belong to dest 1 , dest 2 , dest 3, and dest 4.

when i suggested load through load building workbench by using route schedules, system proposed the load and route.

in route system suggested all the route segments from destination 1 to destination 5. But  there is no sale order detonation belongs to destination 5. so how to configure system that only propose routes from destination 1 to destination 4.

because last destination 5 cost is also added in the proposed load that is no good.

I have seen this gap before. Unfortunately there is no easy way to achieve this. The only way I know is to assigned scheduled route with all 5 segments to load and manually remove the last segment. This way it will have only these segments:

    warehouse > dest 1

    dest 1 > dest 2

    dest 2 > dest 3

    dest 3 > dest 4

    Hi Afazal,

You can use Route guides to specify an origin hub and a destination hub.

Route guides are available on the Rate route workbench page, where loads can be matched to routes either manually or automatically.

Or you can unapproved the road segment from destination 1 to destination 5.

A route must be approved before it can be used in the planning or manufacturing process. In the Production control parameters, you can specify whether routes can be unapproved, and whether approved routes can be changed.

    Hope this helps you.

    Best Regards,

    Charlotte Xu
