Management Reporter installation for AX 2009

Hi everyone

This is essentially an MR question. I'm trying to install MR 2012 CU16 for Ax 2009.

I've installed the server, now I'm trying configure it.

I open the configuration console, I select Ax 2009 and when I click next, i get an error that says, "The user name or password is incorrect".

There aren't any telling details in the event logger either.

What is it trying to authenticate against? Where do I fill these details in?

    Hi,

    Are you operating AX2009 RU8 or higher?

    That is because MR 2012 CU16 is not compatible with older AX2009 versions.

    Hello Brandon,

    My first suggestion would be to confirm you have logged into the server with an Active Directory domain account, and not a local computer account. MR 2012 only supports using AD accounts for users. After that, I would suggest to deploy only one component at a time so you can determine which one is failing instead of installing all three at once. Install the Application Service first, then the Process Service, and finally the AX 2009 legacy provider.
