User Id change in windows. How does it affect Dynamics Sl 2011?

We got acquired by another company.

We have to migrate into their domain.

Currently our userid are in one format "wetooo"

they want us to change this to "abcd123456"

If windows userid changes, how will it affect Dynamics. Will we have to recreate new account for each user? If we do that, then will this new account be linked to existing data that the user has in dynamics?

    Hi

    No need to create the new userID in SL. Just map the new windows login id with existing SL user ID.

    I tried doing that. But it would not let me re map the windows userid to existing dynamics userid.

    I recently did a similar exercise. You can go into the users table and change the WindowsUserAcct field to the new domain\user id and run Synchronize All Ownership and Security.
