Need to validate Item Number lookup available on Purch Line Form

I have one new requirement Suppose there are 3 users

1) 1st user needs to assign some items transactions he can see only that not others.

2) 2nd user only sees the remaining item transactions and for him doesn't need to show 1st user item transactions.

3) 3rd user can see all the items and related on-hand inventory.

But I stuck on this point how to validate a purchase line lookup for 1st and 2nd user.

    Hi,

    I'm not able to fully understand your requirement. Is it related to transactions, items or both? Anyway, you can achieve record based security with help of the eXtensible Data Security (XDS) in AX 2012.

    Hi,

    Before restricting the lookup, were you already able to restrict items and/or the item transactions with help of e.g. eXtensible data security?
