Hi ,

I have a requirement under warehouse Management in Ax 2012 R3 i.e, to create a Shipping Pallet Label.

shippinglabel.png

If user click Print Shipping Label , one form will populate which will ask user  to input : number of label count and pallet count .

For an example if the  user enters label count as 4 and pallet count as 4 and clicked ok button .

4 labels has to be printed to zebra printers in the below mentioned design format .

Please suggest me how to approach this requirement .

Can i Create SSRS report or design Labels using NiceLabel Designer?

If I create SSRS report how I can print directly to zebra printers with label count as input ?

If I design label using NiceLabel Designer then what will be my code to print the Document Label Layout to print automatically once the user click ok button on form ?

Thanks in advance

    Did you have solution yet?

Nice label you can design with and than create a ZPL file. That ZPL file can be put in document layouts and used during work templates (on amongst) the mobile device.

SSRS can be used, but postscript printing on zebra printers is not optimal...

I would make an easy csv export for packing data.

There is a table for shipping details that are created for each packing slip. You fill it out when posting packing slips under details. Export this file to a folder that a label software monitors for printing.

Otherwise in R3 WHS you have also the label feature that gives you the option to print from the hand terminals. This is a feature where you must write ZPL to the setup in AX directly.

This require that you structure your packing with lisence plates though.

    Hi ,

I am trying to print a simple product label.   The label is 4" wide x 2.5" high.  There is 1 label  column across and 1 label row per page.  Basically, the physical page size is  4" wide x 2.5" high.  This is a 1/8" gap between each lable, and the thermal printer recognizes this to start a align as the start of a 'new page'.

I set my ssrs designer page size to  4" x 2.5" .  Dropped a List onto this and sized it so that there is about .12 space (on each of the 4 sides) between the List and page edge.

Within Reporting Services / Visual Studio, the on-screen preview looks fine and it's showing one label per pdf page in file but when I am feeding this file to Intermec EasyCoder PD42 printer , alignment is not proper i.e. the data stops on the 1st physical page at the 2" wide spot, when it should be printing all across to 4.5".

When I am using collate check box and printing say 10 labels , 5 are coming rightly in die cut label boxes and 5 are not even aligned to label page.

Note: We are on D365 FO PU 7 version and try to use mentioned printer.

    Any help would be appreciated.
