Hi,
I had set the contact mapping strategy by emailaddress1 only. However, when I manually create a new lead and qualify it. System always create a new contact.
Anything I missed out? below is my contact matching strategy.
Hi Teh,
Did you encounter this issue when you select a lead record in entitylist then click the "Qualify" button?
Regards,
Clofly
Hi Clofly,
Yes. When I check the contact list, I noticed a new contact was created.
Not sure am I missing something in the setup.
Thanks.
Teh
Even if duplicate detection will be skipped in entitylist, but can it still work in entityrecord?
Someone has also encountered same issue on last friday, and he has created a ticket for the issue.
I'll inform to your once the user gets reply from ticket center.
Thanks for your prompt reply. Noted on that.
I just checked the case, here is screenshot of reply:
In a word, duplicate detection will only be triggered in Form instead of in View, it is by design.
Please refer to Clofly's answer - duplicate detection will only be triggered through forms.
Let us know if you have any other questions
Thanks
We faced the Same Issue YA Tech,
-> Our assumption was Duplicate detection Doesn't Give alert for Bulk Qualify ( Even when you select 1 Lead from Entity View Grid )
-> and Works fine if try to Qualify Record from Entity Form where Contact or account match Duplicate detection rule
Then we Raised a ticket just to Confirm and Shiva from Microsoft confirmed that is the case, it will not show alert from Entity View. thanks
