Hi Community,

I would like to find out in Recurring Journal, is there any relation between Document No. and General Ledger Entries?

I'm trying to find a particular document which I post from Recurring Journal, but the GL entries, doesn't have the Document no. So I have to use Description

but Is there anyway I can location my documents? The Document no. is not shown in the ledger entries.

Thank you!

I have the same question (0)

All general ledger entries have the document number field. Are you saying that those you posted from a recurring journal have a blank document number?

Can you see the Document No. field in your general ledger entries page/screen? If not unhid the column.

Hi, By default, the Document No. here will automatically take the Number in the No. Series set in the Batch. Therefore, the number set on the page will not be posted to General Ledger Entries. (probably to avoid having monthly duplicate numbers)

However, if you clear the No. Series in the Batch, the Document No. on the page will be posted to the general ledger entries.

    Josh,

Good question. The Document No., on the Recurring Journal, will post to the General Ledger Entries if their is no No. Series defined when posting the Recurring Journal in the Batch. If you make sure the Batch used shows a Blank No. Series value then Recurring Document No. is used, else the No. Series replaces the Recurring Document No.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
