One user is getting error of tlist32p.ocx missing or not registered when running FRx

Nobody is having this issue...  I copied the file from another user to this non-functioning one and still couldn't register the file using regsvr32...  Tried running frxreg.exe - still no good...  Trie reinstalling FRx...  Same thing (I didn't uninstall it first)...

Any ideas???

Solved it...  I compared my system files (where FRx worked) to her system files...  As the tlist32p.ocx file was dated 3/6/1997, I sorted by date and looked at the very old files...  I noticed that I had a file that she was missing - mfcans32.dll...  I copied it over and now it works...

Can't even begin to tell how it got deleted...

Nothing has changed that we know of...  I can log in to FRx and bring up the catalog of reports...  I select a report and change the parameters to the desired ones...  When I try to execute the report, the error occurs...  It happens on all reports...

So FRx was working on this computer and now is not working?  What has changed on this computer since 12/23?  At what point does the error come up?  When logging in, when printing a particular report, at some other point?

No.  We have many Windows 7 Pro PCs running...

    FRx 6.7.10343...

Everybody has Administrator rights on their local PCs...  She isn't the only user...

FRx has been working for months...  Last report generated on that PC was on 12/23...

    - Is this the only Windows 7 machine you have running FRx?

    - What build of FRx?

    - If you launch FRx by right clicking and choosing 'Run as administrator' do you still have the same issue?

    - Did FRx used to work on this machine and then stopped, or is this a new installation that never worked on this machine?

It comes back with the specified module could not be found...

Also, it is 32-bit Windows 7 Professional, so I did System32 instead of syswow64...

Re: One user is getting error of tlist32p.ocx missing or not registered when running FRx

    Yes,

tlist32.ocx might be a library intended to self-register, not with RegSvr32, I ran the following command to determine this on my computer "findstr /i DllRegisterServer c:\windows\syswow64\tlist32p.ocx" and the results where that it is in fact a self-register library.

So how do you register it?

Pay attention, use the command as the parameter is case-sensitive

    Rundll32 <path to ocx>,DllRegisterServer

    For example:

    Rundll32 C:\Windows\system32\tlist32p.ocx,DllRegisterServer

Try it and let us know
