How do you un-allocate items in SOP

Posted on by 1,325

How do I un-allocate items in SOP of GP 10?

I'm not using anything fancy, just the stock-standard SOP module. My order is setup to allocate & fulfill by document/batch but I need to be able to un-allocate items from an order without update the Order qty to zero.

Any bright ideas out there please?

Louella

I know this is a very old thread -- however I also had this problem recently and maybe someone in the future would like a solution. I opened the Order in Sales Transaction Entry and then set all of the lines to Backorder status. That effectively unallocated the order. Then I could re-allocate it as needed.

I'm not aware of any way to do it except by deleting the line and, possibly, running the inventory reconcile utility. Otherwise, you'd have to update SOP10200 for that line item and possibly run the inventory reconcile utility since you're doing something outside the business logic.
