Hi, we have set up a number of Transaction Dimension Codes within GP 2013 r2. We discovered that the codes were listed in alphabetical order and so to aid users, those that were used most often we preceded with *** so they always appeared top of any lists when users selected the relevant AA code.
Unfortunately we have now discovered that any of our Dimension Codes that are preceded with *** don't work in Management Reporter for reporting purposes. They are deemed invalid.
The solution seems to be to replace the *** with AAA so they are still top of the list. Does anyone know how to rename Dimension Codes that have been used since the box is greyed out in Transaction Dimension Code Maintenance.
Failing that I can set up new ones but it would be good to move any balances recorded against the old AA codes, is this possible as a second option?
