I mistakenly deleted the CSR Manager role and I'd like to recreate it. Are the default security settings (i.e. the colored dots) available so I can manually re-create the role?

You can get it from another CRM environment that you would have (Test / UAT / Production) or even a trial environment
Create a new solution, add the CSR Manager Role to it and then export it. You can import the role in the required environment.
I don't have a second environment. I understand the option of creating a trial version but was hoping there would be a MS document on-line. I found one (msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309366.aspx) but this isn't very user-friendly.
