based on a field for example if i select a state texas in one field then i should be able to get a list of colleges in texas in another field can any body help me with java script, advanced find or any other way please

For example if the country and colleges are two entities, where colleges have lookup to country. When the two lookups(college & country) are in a entity(account) you can filter colleges based on country using OOB lookup filter available with college lookup.

If they are optionsets, then you may need to map them using mappingxml or JSON based on CRM version
This functionality is provided out of box, you don't need to use JS.
