We have a field that can currently hold 10 characters. I would like this field to hold 14 characters. In modifier the field has a DataType of STR10 and the keyable length is at its max. Is there a way to change the datatype of the field?

You would have to create a new field using the DUOS with the correct datatype. You can not change the length or datatype of existing GP fields.
