Raw Material Picking by the mobile device reserves all the on hand quantity and prevents completion of work

Hi,

I encountered a strange STOP error when doing the raw material picking using the mobile device in CU13. I have an onhand of 20 tons and I need 1 ton for my Picking list. the System suddenly picks all the 20 and assigns them by nature to the user location, the second step "put" does not get completed as the error "" appears. and the work gets stuck and so the material as they are physically reserved on the user location.

Did anyone encounter such a problem? I checked my setup but would happy to share it.

    sorry the error states "Quantity 1.00 cannot be picked because inventory transactions with status On order, Reserved ordered or Reserved physical are insufficient"

    The message "Quantity 1.00 cannot be picked...." doesn't look like one from the Put work line. Is your pick workline completed?

    Hi Islam Emam,

    If you need to pick and put away to production input location only order quantity, you should change Material picking in license plate locations value to Order picking (this is set on Released product master, Warehouse tab).

    In regards to the error, check that you do not have open picking list for this item against production order.

    Yes It is, it becomes completed by picking all the quantity in the onhand, which is weird.

    One possible cause for picking 20 (instead of 1) could be: you scanned the License plate Id, and the Licenseplate contains 20. Is that your case?

    Hi Natalia,

    Thank you, do I will try the Material picking on license plate locations and see how it goes. No there was no open picking lists then, only the one I was completing the work for.

    However for the reserved material so far, how do I unreserved it? Given that the work is.... stuck.

    Can you check that there are no other open WHS work or transactions that holds the stock for this item?

    There is no way to cancel the work in progress, which means that you cannot cancel reservation until you finish the work. So you need to find out why the error occurs at put away step.

    the WHS work am trying to finish picked the whole quantity and it is the one holding all the stock as reserved. That's the issue.

    You haven't confirmed yet, if it is License plate controlled.

    No that is not the case. What happened is that the picking screen was supposed to picked 1 and the onhand is 20, suddenly after confirming the pick it picked the whole 20, transferred them to the user location from the storing location and reserved them, when you do the put it says no because there are reserved items on hand.

    And it kept stuck like this. tried it three times with 3 different setups and no hope yet. Could not even go and unreserved the items manually.
