Teams integration on CRM

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way of doing phone calls using teams inside CRM.

So far the only thing I was able to do was to integrate D365 on teams which isn't very useful. All I get is the CRM desktop inside teams, similar to the browser.

I believe for this I will need a third-party app.

Can someone confirm this? Is there a way of doing this?

Yes. Dial my contacts in Dynamics as if they where my contacts on Teams since I can get D365 to partly integrate with Teams, I was wondering if this can be done.

I believe Skype for Business, used to do this, but I was told it was discontinued.

I know that there are third-party apps that can do it, which means that probably this can't be done with teams.

Hi,

When you click a telephone field in browser it is opened using URL:TEL protocol.

I believe Default app for this protocol can be set to Teams as well.

In the start menu, search for "protocol" and open Choose a default app for each protocol setting:

Select Teams app for TEL protocol:

I did not test this solution, if it works, you need to set this on each client computer which is not an ideal solution.

Microsoft has not announced any feature that enables Teams Click to call globally.

I did what you told me but unfortunately I'm unable to locate the phone default option on the menu you suggested.

It seems that it's not available on my PC..

Hi,

You need to look into "Choose a default app for each protocol" settings not the Default Apps.
