Nothing To Handle Error NAV 2016

Hi All,

I am working in Nav 2016 and I am getting a nothing to handle error when trying to create a pick.

I have checked availability by location

Item-availability.PNG

Then I checked my item ledger entries nothing there. I should have one in stock, which is also confirmed by NAV. See item card:

8420.Item-Card.PNG

This is the location setup. No bins required, picks and shipments required :

This is the shipment:

4035.Shipment.PNG

And ultimately I get the error:

3010.Error.PNG

I have also checked if there are any item journals with unposted lines with this item on it. I am currently at a loss as to why there is nothing to handle. If i remove the qty in sales order, I simply get 1 item on inventory and 1 item available inventory. After inputting the qty in the order the available qty goes to zero and the gross requirement goes to one.

Also none of my other locations have a gross requirement nor do they have stock for this item. The item ledger entries still show one entry that is open with a remaining qty of 1. Everything seems perfectly set to just pcik this order and ship and invoice it. However, I get the nothing to handle error.

Hope that someone can give my pointers as to why this still gives an error en how to correct it.

Best,

Zafar

There could be many possibilities, see the content is there to be picked.

Whats there in the AvailableQtyToPick column?

    Hi Zafar,

There are a multitude of reasons why this can happen. One big thing that can happen which is hard to see without digging is if the item went through a put away before you are trying to sell it? If you require put aways, than the inventory needs to go through the registering of a put away process.

    Hi Rockwith,

Maybe I am missing something, but to my knowledge there is no such column. I have all columns displayed. Maybe your Nav implementation has a customization or something?

    Hi Chaz,

That was not the issue. I have checked alle possible factors to my knowledge including:

    - Put aways not registered

    - Other open sales order possibly containing the item

    - checking for open item ledger entries en confirming there should be one item still available

    - Availability by location which shows the same

    - No assembly orders with this item

    - No Item journals or phys item journals with this item in it.

So to me I am wondering what else I could check to resolve this issue

    Thanks,

    Zafar

Looking at your pictures, your available inventory is 0. If you drill into that are you sure the only demand for the item is the sales order you are working with?

Also, do you run pick worksheets and the item is stuck on there?

    Hi Chaz,

Yes the only demand for the item is the sales order. Also we do not work with pick worksheets. We just create picks from sales shipment documents on a per shipment basis. Hope that answers your questions.

So is there an open pick line (not associated with your shipment) for that item? Cause if thats the case, you would get the same error of nothing to handle. It doesnt want to have you double pick.

Did you checked how much quantity is there which is actually available to pick?

You can check that from the Pick Worksheet.

    Please check.

Goto Pick Woksheet -> Choose your shipment from Get Warehouse Doocument -> You will see.
