Hi Community,
May I know why do we need to apply entries in Navision 2018?
Why is it not a applied immediately when we key in the entries, since surely we know that this entry A ties with entry B.
Or is there other particular reason what the Applies ID is for?

Hi, Apply entries play a big role in managing AP and AR.
And in NAV, applying entries generally has two ways, one is to apply when enter payment journals, and then post the payment, the other way is to first post the payment, and then go to the Customer/Vendor Ledger Entries to apply. I think you can use the first method if you know that this entry A ties with entry B.
For example, Apply Entries... in Payment Journal.
