Change CRM logo - unsupported?

Hi,

We are an ISV that develops products based on Dynamics CRM and I've read that it's an 'unsupported change' to modify the big logo of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. How 'unsupported' is it exactly? Will no one answer my questions if my CRM breaks after modifying it or will Microsoft send lawyers after us?

Microsoft will only care if you try and extract support for the changes out of them. There are no legal repercussions, only support-related ones (and even then Microsoft can often be quite forgiving).

As I mentioned, I know that the change is not 'supported' but I was rather wondering whether there's anything legally troublesome to change the logo

The following is a list of the types of actions that are not supported:
Modifications to any .aspx, .css, .htm, .js, .xml, .jpg, or .gif files or addition of files in the wwwroot directories of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM application, Microsoft Dynamics CRM tools or Microsoft Dynamics CRM files located at Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM. During upgrades and updates, these files are not checked for modifications and might be overwritten.
