Remote Assist Device Licence

From the licencing guide it shows that each user should have a remote assist licence but we have the case where we are going to purchase a couple Hololens 2 devices that will be shared by many users. The users would only be using remote assist with the device so we would like to have just the device licenced which is possible for some products but wasn't sure if it was possible with remote assist. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Apologies if this question has been asked before, I couldn't find anyone asking the same explicit question.

Thanks!

    RE: Remote Assist Device Licence

    Hi,

    You can find that

"The Dynamics 365 Remote Assist, Teams, and Dataverse licenses must be assigned to a native member of the tenant (Azure AD member account). Dynamics 365 Remote Assist does not support Azure AD B2B; an individual cannot sign into Dynamics 365 Remote Assist using a Dynamics 365 Remote Assist license assigned to an Azure AD guest account."

    in the following section.

Requirements for Dynamics 365 Remote Assist - Dynamics 365 Mixed Reality | Microsoft Docs

You can try to share your device with multiple people, all using the same account. For more info, please refer to:

Share your HoloLens with multiple people | Microsoft Docs

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya

    RE: Remote Assist Device Licence

Hi DynMoPer, the standard license is per user. If you have additional licensing needs for device-based licensing, please discuss with your Microsoft sales rep or account team and they can work with you to meet licensing needs.
