Outlook 2010 + Windows 8 = CRM Disconnected?

Hello,

I'm running Windows 8 RTM with the latest patches and upgraded my CRM 2011 Plugin to RU 10 and am still getting the message CRM Disconnected. I've tried all of the steps in the troubleshooter and have found no recourse. Anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?

Thanks,
Michael

Try the following settings if haven't yet:

Thanks Frank. Already enabled WIF 3.5 and Trusted Sites. Also installed RU 10, Uninstalled and Reinstalled Outlook and the Plugin multiple times, Deleted all Legacy Credentials in Credential Manager, and Deleted the Mail Profile and created a new one... There are no error messages given, just the message "CRM Disconnected" Clicking Sign In brings me to "CRM trying to connect" and that goes nowhere.

    Hi Michael

Are your CRM for Outlook clients connecting via IFD?  If so, here is what I discovered:

Previously I would login using my email address when setting up the Outlook connector, or just my username, but after some digging around I discovered that I could only connect using my actual "domain\username" format to login.  The Windows Identity foundation 3.5 needed to be installed as well.

Once I got beyond that, the process would eventually fail when configuring the client.  After installing the client CRM Rollup 10, the situation was resolved.

Not sure if this info helps or not.  The other thing is to check the server and client time and make sure they are in a 5 minute window of each other.

    Cheers

    Nick

    Hello Nick,

I'm not connecting via IFD, so I'm not sure if this applies. I do know that the Identity Foundation is installed and that I've installed Rollup 10 and verified the time, so I don't think that's it either.

Any other suggestions? I've run through everything that I could find!

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Mike

Sorry, I don't have any more answers, I hope you were able to figure it out.  I hate suggesting this but you might have to raise a support ticket with MS, hopefully someone else will reply with some insight so you don't have to do that.

    Cheers

    Nick

    Hi Mike,

You can confirm that this machine is a member of the CRM domain as well correct?
