Don't twooptions (bools) dirty the form with the default value?

I was working on a customeraddress process and discovered I needed to toggle a bool field to get it to make it to the create/update "image".  Then my associate says he ran into the same thing on the opportunity form.

Isn't this the default behavior?  Isn't the whole idea behind a twooption that it can't be null -- must be one or the other?  Did something change?

Must have been the case of the record preceding the field.  I just verified that a new record gets dirty.

Two option-set unless ticked or touched are set to null only, internally.

By default the design is such a way that one of them is auto selected. While defining dataType it is mandatory to select default value.

You can opt for CheckBox also, but that too is either selected or un-selected.

The two Optionsset  can't be Null but if the records were created before the Bool field is created in CRM

then it will have null values
