CRM ID generation - Best Practice

Hi,

I'm trying to load the large data set(300GB) into D365 out of box and custom entities using a 3rd party tool from a SQL Server database. CRM IDs are pre-generated using NEWSEQUENTIALID() function in the SQL Server DB.

Any disadvantage or performance impact on loading D365 with pre-generated CRM IDs?

Thanks.

    Hello,

Generally speaking, CRM uses a similar approach when it generates ids for records so your approach looks correct.
