Hi:
 
Dynamics GP's "Item Engineering Data" window contains a field called "Effective Date" for an inventory item.
 
Does Business Central's Item Card have a similar Effective Date feature?

    Hi, As far as I know, there is no such function on the Item Card in BC, but Expiration Date can be filled in when managing the Item Tracking.
     
    Hope this can give you some hints.

    Business Central allows for an Expiration Date. For example, if you track perishable goods in lots you might need to know the expiration date. Does that align with your need, or are you looking for an effective date to "launch/make available" an Item or service?

    BC doesn't have an Effective Date, but if you want to prevent the item from being used, we have a blocked field where you can enable it. Otherwise, you will need to do it through customization.
