How to stop email, sent from workflow, from tracking

Hi,

We are using email tracking in the online version of D365.

There are a number of Workflows that we have created to send emails to staff when certain conditions are met are met.
All but one of these set the "regarding" field on the send email step. This means that the email is tracked against that "regarding" entity. This is what we want and it works.

One of the workflows sends an email to the owner of the PO when the PO status has been set to "Reviewed" or "Authorised". There is no regarding set.
We don't want these emails to be tracked as its generating a lot of useless data that we have to pay for on the cloud storage.

I cannot find any settings that controls outgoing email tracking.
The personalization options against the users are there just for incoming email tracking.
The system email settings are as follows:

Thanks,

    Hi,

Please change the user personal settings to track only emails in response to dynamics 365 emails and it will stop tracking all the emails into CRM for that user.

    Soumen,

Thanks for the response but this is what we have set all our CRM users to already.

As a test I created a workflow that sends an email to a non-CRM user, ie just an email address, but is from a valid CRM user.

I also changed the sending users Personal options to Track "no email messages".

After running this workflow the recipient receives the email as expected but it is still tracked in CRM.

This leads me to believe that the tracking is done when sending the email from Dynamics and not when receiving.

So how do I stop it tracking on sending? I have not set the "Regarding" field on the Send Email?

    Thanks,

    Mark

I have a similar issue.  Certain inbound messages are automatically tracking against contacts in our system.  These contacts are also users of CRM.  It's only certain recurring messages, like SPAM warnings or daily reports.  If we untrack one of the messages, the next one will be tracked again.  How we permanently untrack these messages?
