Hi,

I am currently installing AX 2012 R2 on 1 server and connecting it to a database server when i encounter the error below.

AX-Installation.png

I tried different solution such as:

1.  Off firewall of both server

2. Check TCP/IP and Name pipes if enabled

3. Ping both server

Did you try to connect SQL server with your used credentials? Make sure you have access to that SQL instance.

Hi  Sir Nagendra i already tried  those in the link and it is still not working. it is so weird it has no effect because the server is newly formated.

    Hi Mari,

Is the name you mentioned server name including domain ?, can you double check re-start both the servers disable both firewall & check the whether you can ping & than try to run .exe files also make sure your login has admin privileges.

    Thanks

Also try to create a DSN and see if you can connect. We will figure it out if that is connectivity issue or something wrong with AX setup.

    Hi Sir,

Sometimes when You use named instance (verify that You used correct instance) instead of Default AOS setup cannot find the database. If You can try to use default instance, if not, please try to input the database server and database name by hand without trying to "find" it.

Also, verify if AX database is installed on that server prior to installation of AOS. You have to first deploy the database, with everything else afterwards. Verify if Your domain user have rights to access this server and database (for test purpose i suggest giving it DBA rights).
