    Hi Chandhu,

Its user or team based security level. You can not assign security role to field level security profile.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Chandhu,

The role based security means where we can apply security role .In field level security you can see there is a navigation to add user and team , and the field list to apply access read ,write...etc.If you add any user or team in the security profile with giving field access that means the user and team belongs to that security profile. Security profile will apply after security check .It's different process by making only field level access where we can assign team or user.So it's completely team and user based profile.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Goutham,

If I go with user or team. All the people will show the field data, read data, update data in record.

For example I have a, bank customer application process for approval of  Branch manager and branch officer approval Fields on the form. But both people will get the Access to two fields...

If I go with security rols like Branch manager role and branch officer role, in user or team I am adding branch manager role user, then he has only access the Branch manager approval field...

Like that I gaven same branch officer role then, which field which role I assign that user or role, then able to access, even they will not see the visa versa....

    Hi Chandhu,

I understand what you are saying , the key difference of role based security and field level security is that role bassed security role apply record level.

But in field level security irrespective of records it's just control particular field security.

Let's say I have a security role branch manager having entity access read , write and we want restrict other user to see   approval field so in that case we will create field security profile with update access and add the users abd team those having branch manager secirity role . So that branch manager only can update that field.

Let me know if you have any query.

Field level security : It is applied to Field's on form, Let say you have Account Entity Form and on that you have a field "Secondary Phone" to which you have provided field level security, so in this case you can provide field level security on field to a "Team" or "User" and you can give Read, Write permission. now if user or team who don't have this permission while not be able to see that field value but they will be able to see the field as *****. When user who don't have field level security download that entity record with that field it will show blank value for them.

Security Role : This is also applied to Team's and User's but this is applied to Records. There are level of privilege for any entity in dynamics crm that is "None","User","Business Unit", "Parent Child" and "Organization".  If you don't have read privilege for any entity you wont be able to see the record for that particular entity.

    Best Regards,
