Associated Leads in Account form Navigation

I used the following javascript in 2011 to display related Leads in an Account record (http://mscrmshop.blogspot.com/2013/01/step-by-step-tutorial-to-add-missing.html?showComment=1368638802080#c9040574248114075140).

Since upgrading to 2013, this appears to have broken, and when I click on the link to related Leads I get a generic error. How can I display Related Leads in an Account form in 2013?

    Hi Joe,

    Yes, if you refer to the link and then you use in CRM 2013, you will get the error, broken link.

    Because in CRM 2013, you need to pass &rof=true or &rof=false as parameter (additional parameter after your former URL).

    You can set add parameter :

    &rof=true

    or

    &rof=false

    ROF is referring to Read-Optimized-Form, and it is required to be passed.

    In this section:

     //building a url
    var sUrl = "/userdefined/areas.aspx?oId=" + oId + "&oType=" + oType + "&pagemode=iframe&security=852023&tabSet=" + relName&rof=false;

    So, the URL should be having this address URL

    http://servername:port/organizationname/userdefined/areas.aspx?oId=DB4A2D57-FBBA-E311-9403-  001CC4EECDD6&oType=1&pagemode=iframe&security=852023&tabSet=lead_customer_accounts&rof=false

    Here is the result

    Hope it helps!

    OK, got it. Thanks guys. I added a sub-grid to the Account form as a temporary workaround but I'll give this a go.

    Hi Joe,

    You're welcome.

    I found a similar post, newer one I think.

    community.dynamics.com/.../106335.aspx

    Is that also submitted by you?

    Yes, that was the original post that got me started in 2011. I have since upgraded to 2013.

    After adding the &rof=false, I no longer get the error but instead just a blank blue frame below where normally the Leads would show up.

    After you add another param:

    &inlineEdit=1

    This will give you the ribbon

    Hope it helps!

    This ribbon appears only if you put the URL under CRM form, it is by design.

    If you just copy paste the URL in the browser, it will not be displayed. You should put as associated view in the left navigation of primary entity form which is under CRM form. I did the screenshot showing that the ribbon is shown and so is the hidden Lead-Account associated view, under the left navigation of CRM Account form.

    Hi Aileen

    We are trying to display associated view in iFrame on Entity form.

    We are able to show it, following is the url that we build.

    https://<orgName>.crm.dynamics.com/userdefined/areas.aspx?oId=%7bA6F09DF8-8B80-E511-8110-C4346BAC59AC%7d&oType=1&pagemode=iframe&security=852023&tabSet=bip_account_bip_clientholding_ClientAccount&rof=false&inlineEdit=1

    We have two problems,

    1. In iFrame, Command bar of associated view (with rof=false&inlineEdit=1) does not show up.

    2. We need solution to show to show chart for associated view.

    Can you provide some help on this?

    Hi Aileen ,

    for the case i need to have &security value corresponding to. In crm 4.0 i used  var security = crmFormSubmit.crmFormSubmitSecurity.value;

    I don't know how to retrieve the security value from my form in the corresponding way for crm 2015 , because crmFormSubmit is not supported in crm 2013, 2015,..

    Thanks

    Regards
