Hi community,
I have a question to the import of a product catalogue import. The sequence of importing new products into CRM is clear (1. product families / 2. products / 3. price lists / 4. price list items). However, what is the recommended solution, if products (step 2) have the same name but must be assigned to a price list (step 3) via price list items (step 4).
As an example: I sell coffee in different cities and every city has its own price list. We create a product hierarchy according to the cities because properties of the products may vary but the name of the product is identical; i.e. 'Coffee A' would be available in Sydney and Melbourne and therefore two products do exist in the product catalogue.
So, how does the system identify the right product (Coffee A) when uploading price list items?
Thanks for feedback & BR

I have the same question (0)Hi,
names of products can be identical but you must have unique Product ID which should be use as unique identifier. DB name of this field is: productnumber. Just add this field to export/import for identify. If you are importing new products you can give name to this column as you want and at import wizard you can map this column for Product ID.
Kind regards,
Alex
