Outlook crashing or slowing down with Plugin - Common issue

So even back to 2011 everywhere I've seen that Outlook cause performance issues with Outlook that are overall sluggish performance if not crashing....

Is this just a ramification of having the plugin installed? What can be done to help alleviate this problem?

Hi there The Outlook Client has sometimes been known to cause such issues but usually when the infrastructure was bot according so specifications, may I ask what is your user client hardware and software setup?

Hello Raz, Sorry to jump in on this issue but I am also having issues with the CRM Plug-in. I am finding that when the CRM plug-in is enabled that some users in Outlook 2013 struggle with issues.. 1) Cannot open emails and Outlook just hangs. 2) Outlook runs slow (sluggish) 3) When you click on the CRM Tab from the Outlook menu bar all the options ex. "Sync to CRM" is greyed out. 4) Sometimes the Plug-in will disable itself and I have to enable it.... So as I said if the Plug-in is completely disabled Outlook is happy :-) Client Hardware is win8 using Outlook 2013.

Are you using Cached Mode for Outlook? Are the users logged into to terminal clients or physical machines? Also please review the Technet.microsoft.com for the outlook client reqs

    Best Wishes, Raz

HI There, Yes its good that your using Cached mode, but if your using Hyper Terminal Services then maybe reason why your experiencing performance issues? If not then I would look at another factor?

How can I check if we are using "Cached Mode" ? I haven't heard of this... Also do you think if we upgrade from 2010 to 2013 for the Outlook client the performance will improve?
