AX 2012 R3 client not responding on opening

I have an issue where the AX 2012 R3 client goes into "Not responding" as soon as I open it. This is only happening with 1 specific user (the Admin user).


I have tried all options - deleted .auc files, cleared usage data, deleted inactive user sessions from SYSCLIENTSESSIONS and also deleted all records from SYSCLIENTSESSIONS.

I have verified that the account is active. I am able to open other non production instances of AX with that admin account.

Is there anything else I can try?

    I have checked the event viewer as well and don't see anything related to this.

    Have you tried from a different machine ?

    Have you also deleted the .kti file in the same folder as the .auc file ?

    Can you check the value in the column GENERALINFO in USERINFO table for that particular user ? Can you set the value to -8209 and try again

       Have you observed the ram utilization on the server?

       Please try Restart the AOS once. If possible restart the server also!

    Yes I have tried from several different machines.

    Yes I deleted the .kti file as well.

    I checked the value and it is -8209.

    Is this a development environment? is The version control activated on that environment? can you explain when your environment started behaving this way?

    Drop entries from SysLastValue table for that specific user only while your client is closed.

    Also ensure that there are no customizations in the Application, Info and SysSetupFormRun classes which could be related to the client startup in combination with the sysadmin account, like startup method changes.

    You could also attempt to start the AX client in the developer workspace straight by changing the shortcut and adding the following flag at the end: -development
